Opti-Colon Cleanse

Recommended Use/Purpose: Traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as a stimulant laxative. Used in Herbal Medicine for the short-term relief of occasional constipation. Promotes bowel movement (by direct action on the large intestine).

Recommended Dose: Take 2 to 6 capsules once or twice per day prior to meals with a large glass of water. Increase the dose gradually.

Cautions and Warnings: Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/physician if symptoms worsen or if laxative effect does not occur within seven days. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/ physician immediately if you experience chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty in swallowing or breathing after taking this product. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/ physician if symptoms persist or worsen. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/ physician prior to use if you have a liver disorder, faecal impaction or symptoms such as, nausea, vomiting or fever.

Reduce dose or stop use if you experience cramps or spasms. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/ physician if side effects occur. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/ physician prior to use, or have gallstones/gall bladder disease or anaemia.

Contra-Indications: Do not use if you have difficulty swallowing. Do not use this product if you are experiencing a sudden change in bowel habits that has persisted for more than 2 weeks, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, or failure to defalcate following the use of another laxative product.

Do not use this product if you have diabetes mellitus in which blood sugar is difficult to regulate. Do not use this product if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac medications such as cardiac glycosides or antiarrhythmic medications, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives or other medications which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance. Do not use this product if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, a kidney or cardiovascular disorder, diabetes or edema (swelling of hands, face and feet). Do not use this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use this product if you have abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage/obstruction, atonic bowel, appendicitis, inflammatory colon disease such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes or diarrhoea.

Known Adverse Reactions: May cause temporary gas and/or bloating. Stop use if hypersensitivity/allergy occurs. Hypersensitivity may occur. Stop use and seek medical attention immediately if you experience dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heart beat and/or difficulty breathing.
